Is rocket the only way to space?
Establishing an elevator that leads from Earth to space sounds impossible for people. However, with current technology and materials, this elevator is realizable, so clients intend to use this project to find out what made the public skeptical and what we can do to make the general public believe this concept and then engage them with investors in the future.

Space Elevator Advantage
Tech's ready, enthusiasm is missing
Dr. Bradley Edwards, the world’s foremost expert in engineering and physics, has a business plan to establish a Space Elevator to develop resources in space. Based on his research, the materials and engineering are ready to establish the elevator, an economical way to space travel.
Video links that Doctors are doing a TED speech about this concept.
The first step is always difficult.
Doctors and his crew found out that many parents who have the same interests built this project, and their professional abilities in the science field qualify for government approval. The only thing they need is the investment, more specifically convincing.
Investor consider
Infrastructure is a long-term investment that has slow returns, that has less attraction compared to short-term investment. But more importantly, the general public is unfamiliar with these concepts which generate skepticism, and questions about whether it is possible to be built.
After interviews and research, we discovered that information about space elevators is limited. Existing articles are outdated, and even students in space engineering express doubts about the concept, not to mention the general public.
Space Elevator Construction Budget plan, cost 6,249 million dollars to set up the parts from the list.
Communication and channel
Public opinion on the Space elevator will be changed from skeptical to believable, if the Doctor and his crew have the right channels to deliver their contexts, in the right amount, to the public. The concept will be easier to accept by the potential investors considering it as possible infrastructure, rather than a science fiction idea.
Common technical skepticism
No Known Material Will Be Strong Enough
It Would Be Susceptible to Dangerous Vibrations
Climbers Will Create Too Much Wobble
Satellites and Space Junk
Social and Environmental Risks
Major object
How might we explain the concept of a Space Elevator to the general public and investors to foster believability and overcome skepticism?
Books Doctor writes to describe the possibility of space elevators, as the major resource for our context based on.
Structuring concept information into diagrams.
Forming design principles from coding Interviewie
To know how our diagrams deliver the content and how the public may reflect on concepts, we interviewed business professors and Space engineering students to see their opinions for further directions from data coding.
Here are the principles we learned.
Highlight unique competencies/ insights to address the challenge to effectively compete in the target market.
Demonstrate feasibility and credibility with tangible evidence.
Put simplicity before complexity without dumbing down.
Reduce perceived risk and novelty with proofs of concept.
Deliverables fit for the intended audience over the long term
Clearly emphasize financial and non-monetary benefits that are important to targeted investors.
Based on principles, the prototype could be
Information delivery
The diagram was put into an interactive PowerPoint presentation that allows audiences to jump from 6 sections selectively, based on their interests.
As a flexible module for audiences to learn these complex details in the concept.
The client can use it as a reference to develop their channel delivery like a website.
Potential channels
Pitch video
A Pitch video to generate audience excitement and confidence. we are leading to further conversations with those interested in investing.
Interactive website
The Elevator Trip website presents scales of elevator traveling that help audiences imagine the potential things that could happen in the future, to interest them.
Postcard leave-behind
A postcard with space elevator art on the front, and history, function, and benefits on the back, plus a QR code for further details.
The interviewee mentioned that the concept of a space elevator sounds more complex than that of a rocket, influencing confidence in its feasibility
Skepticism of the Space elevator comes from unfamiliarity with the public. Most artists and information people access are usually old and few, compared to traditional rocket development. This project tries to provide news to change people's opinion of space elevators from science fiction to reality.
Even if the client approves the interacive presentationt, it still needs more surveys or interviews to test whether the language could convince audiences to believe it. The validation and renewal prototype would be processed for further development.
